Happy Disability Pride Month!

Graphic for Disability Pride Month. A group of hands with different skin colors holding the disability pride flag aloft. The text says "Happy Disability Pride Month!".

In July, we celebrate the disabled community in the United States, their history, achievements, leadership, and existence.

People with disabilities shape our communities for the better. In Wisconsin, 1 in 4 people have a disability, and the community remains the largest minority group in the United States.

This month is dedicated to celebrating disabled Americans, the history of the fight for their civil rights including the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We at Disability Rights Wisconsin continue to join people with disabilities in their efforts to live their most free and integrated lives in our communities! Join us in celebrating Disability Pride!
