Nationally, this day celebrates independence and mobility for people who are blind. In Wisconsin, the #WhiteCaneLaw states that drivers must stop 10 feet or more from pedestrians using white canes or service dogs. Following this rule makes streets safer for all of us. Help us spread the word about White Cane Safety Day by sharing this post and reminding your friends and family to stop at least 10 feet from crosswalks.
