Managing Attorney, Litigation Team
About the Managing Attorney Position
The Managing Attorney oversees the Litigation Team to work on systemic change issues that affect a wide range of people with disabilities in Wisconsin. The areas of law the team includes employment, housing, special education, civil rights, victim rights, access to services, and more.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- developing cases with the Litigation Team for systemic impact litigation.
- supervising attorneys and advocates who are part of the Litigation Team.
- maintaining a caseload of strategic or high-profile litigation.
- conducting state and federal litigation and administrative hearings as the first chair trial attorney.
- tracking and reporting outcomes, deliverables, and objectives for grant reports.
Position Information
Full-Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE (40 Hours per week), Exempt
Starting Rate: $88,608 to $101,115, Attorney Pay Scale
Location: This is a Madison or Milwaukee office position. Hybrid work is available. The applicant must be a Wisconsin resident.

Human Resources Generalist
About the HR Generalist Position
The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily operations of Disability Rights Wisconsin’s Human Resources department. They will work closely with the Director, HR consulting firm, and administrative leadership.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- working with staff to be the first point of contact for all employee-facing services, like engagement, benefits, leave requests, and employee relations.
- coordinating recruitment, such as job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and background checks.
- maintaining up-to-date records for employees and the organization as a whole.
Position Information
Full-Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE (40 Hours per week), Non-Exempt
Starting Rate: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour

Administrative Assistant, LTE
About the Administrative Assistant Position
The Administrative Assistant supports Disability Rights Wisconsin administratively and organizationally across multiple offices.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- doing general administrative support, such as mail processing, greeting office visitors, managing business communications, and word processing
- doing basic data entry for databases and spreadsheets.
- writing short correspondence and memos for staff when requested.
- maintaining office filing systems
Position Information
Full-Time Equivalent: Limited Term; 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week); Non-Exempt
Starting Rate: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
