Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman

About the Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman Position

The Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman works with Family Care, Partnership, and IRIS enrollees in Wisconsin. The responsibilities of this positions are:

  • collecting information about Family Care and IRIS cases.
  • investigating complaints.
  • supporting enrollees in meetings, appeals, hearings, and self-advocacy.
  • giving information, guidance, and referrals.
  • giving outreach and training on the Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman Program and the rights and issues of adults in long-term care programs.

Position Information

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Full Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE (40 Hours per week), Exempt

Starting Rate: $51,000 to $63,555; Advocate Pay Scale

Location: There are two positions available in different locations: Statewide and Northeast Wisconsin. All applicants must be a Wisconsin resident.

The Northeast Wisconsin position is fully remote.

The Statewide position has:

  • hybrid work available at our Madison and Milwaukee offices.
  • fully remote work available elsewhere statewide.
