Job Summary

The Intake Specialist is responsible for the initial contact with clients looking for information and referral or advocacy services from Disability Rights Wisconsin’s Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman Program.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • doing intakes over the phone or in-person for clients who are requesting information and referral or advocacy services from Disability Rights Wisconsin.
  • working collaboratively with other intake specialists and the administrative team to maintain an efficient flow of intakes through Disability Rights Wisconsin’s process.
  • participating in Disability Rights Wisconsin’s outreach efforts to educate various groups and individuals on what the agency does and the services we provide.
  • doing training and outreach on FCIOP and the rights and issues of adults in long-term care programs.

Job Information

  • Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time
  • Full Time Equivalent: 0.6; 24 hours per week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
  • Reports to: Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman Program Managing Attorney
  • Rate: $24.03 to $29.96 per hour; Advocate Pay Scale
  • Job Location: Statewide. If you live near the Milwaukee or Madison office, office and hybrid work arrangements are available. A fully remote work arrangement is also available.
