DRW is now seeking a Managing Attorney in our Protection and Advocacy program! Are you dedicated to advocating for people with disabilities on a systemic level and forming relationships with other advocacy organizations in Wisconsin? Do you have several years of experience in individual and legal casework? We encourage you to apply!
The Managing Attorney will be responsible for overseeing DRW’s core services under our Protection and Advocacy program, which encompasses several teams in various disability rights areas:
- Communities and Institutions Team
- Schools Team
- Civil Rights Team
- Protection and Advocacy for Representative Payees
- Access to Voting
They will also oversee all P&A-related grant requirements, apart from our voting access grant and individual advocacy services, to ensure effective and high-quality advocacy services to DRW’s clients. In addition to overseeing programs and their grants, the Managing Attorney will also engage in litigation and individual casework as appropriate, provides direction and support to supervising attorney, and collaborate with program managers and the public policy coordinator to identify and address systemic issues facing people with disabilities in Wisconsin.
