Disability Rights Wisconsin is now hiring a Supervising Advocacy Specialist, as part of our Advocacy and Representation team.


About the Position

The Supervising Advocacy Specialist oversees a team of Advocacy Specialists who provide individual and systemic advocacy for children and adults with disabilities.

They will:

  • lead and support a team of advocacy specialists.
  • manage team meetings and advise on casework and development.
  • provide direct services to clients.
  • empower the clients’ self-advocacy through developing person-specific strategies and skills.
  • represent DRW on task forces, coalitions, and committees related to disability issues.
  • maintain working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, advocacy organizations, and facilities that serve the disability community.
  • manage case files in compliance with our data reporting and confidentiality requirements.

Position Information

Full-Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE (40 Hours per week)

Rate: $64,520 – $80,404 annually.

Location: Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW) has offices in Milwaukee and Madison. This position can be assigned to any of these office locations, depending on the applicant’s residence. This position is not eligible for fully remote work. DRW has a hybrid work policy.
