Support Disability Rights Wisconsin on March 7!

It’s Time for the Big Share!

Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW) is part of The Big Share 2023, an online day of giving sponsored by Community Shares of Wisconsin that supports 70 Wisconsin-based non-profit organizations that work progressively to improve the lives of Wisconsinites.

This event serves as a great opportunity to provide donations to DRW. Trust us, we want you to do that. In fact, donate here: DRW BIG SHARE! This day of giving also provides an opportunity for DRW to promote what we do. This year, we did this through short but fascinating videos of our staff and community partners telling their stories about DRW’s important work that improves the lives of people with disabilities in Wisconsin.

Advancing Transportation Equity for Non-Drivers

Event photo for the Transportation Equity for Non-Drivers livestream. The stream will happen from 11:00a to 12:00pm on March 7, 2023. Further information is in post.

We have an upcoming conversation between panelists from Disability Rights Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Council of the Blind, and the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities on the challenges that exist for non-drivers in Wisconsin and how we can take steps towards transportation equity.

Join us for the livestream on Facebook Live here from 11:00am to 12:00pm on March 7, 2023!

Video Showcase

We would like to showcase a few of DRW’s own voices during the Big Share!

You can find all our videos on our DRW YouTube channel here. The videos were professionally created by Promote Local. They were great to work with!

Why Support Us During the Big Share?

Truth be told, your donations support the public policy work of Disability Rights Wisconsin, which is not fully funded by our program grants. This critical work improves the lives of people with disabilities, allowing DRW to maximize efforts in collaboration with legislators and public officials, gather testimonials to support bills, and work to ensure that pending legislation does not negatively affect people with disabilities throughout Wisconsin.

Power Hours

So back to supporting DRW via The Big Share, you can give throughout the day, at any time. We want to encourage you to be strategic about your donation. We need you to help us get to our $10,000 goal in the best way possible, through our Power Hours!

Our Power Hours are set up to double your gift with our match pledges. Here is the schedule of our Power Hours and the matches connected to them. Just click during these hours to double your donation.
