About Take Back the Night
Join us at Take Back the Night this Wednesday, October 2, in Oshkosh!
Learn about sexual assault and domestic abuse within our communities and how to stand against it.
This year’s program focuses on the disability community! Pam Malin, our Victim Advocacy Program’s lead advocacy specialist, will be a speaker for the program. She will talk about the experiences of survivors with disabilities.
There will also be a resource fair and activities before the program starts. After the program ends, attendees will march through Oshkosh.

March Route

There are sidewalks all along the march route.
The march will stop at Christine Ann on the corner of Algoma Boulevard and Division Street. There will be a moment of silence held for those who have lost their lives because of domestic violence.
The march will start at the Culver Family Welcome Center near Osceola Street. You will go northward on Osceola Street. Once you reach High Avenue, you will turn right to march down the avenue in a southeastern direction. You will go down High Avenue until you reach Division Street and turn left. You will march up Division Street for one block and then turn left onto Algoma Boulevard. You will march up Algoma Boulevard back towards University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Once you reach Osceola Street, you will turn left to end the march at the Culver Family Welcome Center.
Availability of Quiet Spaces
There are no designated quiet spaces within the venue. The venue will have outdoor spaces with seats that people can use if they become overwhelmed.
Accessible Bathrooms
The Culvers Family Welcome Center has bathrooms on the first floor. There are no steps to get into the venue or into the bathrooms.
