Pearl is a mother of two children with Autism and is currently a Volunteer Parent Leader with WI FACETS (Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education, Training, and Support). For 8 years, she has helped families navigate the special education process in Texas, New Mexico, and Wisconsin, as well as helping families that serve in the military that have children with special needs. These experiences have given her a unique perspective which enables her to understand parents, and motivated her to realize her purpose: to encourage parents to own their role as the parent of a special needs child, empowering them by providing them with the knowledge needed to meet the needs of their child.
Pearl was elected to the DRW Board in December 2015.
