Tell the Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council what waiting for DVR services means to you!

Action Alert post. The background is bright red, and has a megaphone.

About this Action Alert

In December, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation made a waitlist for services because they did not have enough money to cover the costs of providing services. Disability advocates have asked the Department of Workforce Development and the Joint Finance Committee to approve a funding request to fully fund DVR services and draw down a federal match to cover the costs. However, this funding has not been granted, and the waitlist continues to grow. This means that people with disabilities have waited up to a year on the waitlist before they can get services from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Take Action!

Are you tired of waiting for services?

If you have been affected by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s waitlist, tell the Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council (WRC) about your experiences. The Council will have a public comment during their meeting tomorrow, May 21st, at 12:15 p.m.

Join the Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council’s meeting via Microsoft Teams here and share your story.
