Our Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman program now has a position opening for an Ombudsman!
The Family Care and IRIS Ombudsman Program (FCIOP) provides a variety of assistance to Family Care, Partnership, and IRIS enrollees statewide. They will collect case information, investigate complaints, and provide information, guidance, self-advocacy support, consultation, and referrals. The Ombudsman also works collaboratively and via negotiation and mediation to resolve enrollee problems, and to provide assistance and/or direct representation with complaints, grievances, appeals and state fair hearings. They provide outreach and training on FCIOP and rights and issues of adults in long-term care programs.
This position can be located anywhere in Wisconsin, with Madison preferred. Employees close to DRW’s Milwaukee or Madison office can work fully in-office or under a hybrid work arrangement. Employees further from Milwaukee or Madison will work fully remotely. Applicants must be a Wisconsin resident.
